Captain Barry

Captain Barry of Datum Charters, LLC. is a son of a commercial ship owner who grew up in the Mediterranean, and therefore, is passionate about most vessels on beautiful seas. Captain Barry has been at the helm since a young boy and has been guiding commercial and leisure vessels of all sizes since 2010. Datum Charters, LLC. specializes in custom charters anywhere in the world.

No matter where you want to sail, Captain Barry has the knowledge and years of experience to put you on a safe journey. He is not only an RYA licensed Yachtmaster, but also an Arizona State University Mechanical Engineer. You can be sure that Captain Barry will work hard, no matter what the weather conditions might be, to give you a day on the water that you'll never forget.

Some of Capt. Barry’s best honors and achievements are the drydocking of 13 U.S. Navy vessels in a record three-year span and his recent TransAtlantic crossing.

Capt. Barry lives with his wife in Phoenix, Arizona. When he is not yachting, he enjoys leisure boating, photography, working out at the gym, and spending time with family and friends.

1st Mate Anne

Anne grew up on the lakes of Minnesota, water skiing and boating whenever possible as an avid water-sports fan. After moving to Phoenix, AZ in 1999 she traveled the United States, partnering with financial advisors helping them to build their businesses as a valued retirement planning resource. She specialized in hosting and creating monumental dining and event experiences all around the US for numerous occasions and groups over the 32 years she worked at CUNA Mutual Group.

When she is not traveling for business in the States, she tours the world with husband Barry. Her boating experience covers the waters of Hawaii, New Zealand, The Great Lakes and most beloved to her are Mediterranean waters. She also has her International Boat Master License and Certification under the US Powerboating Association to serve as first mate and entertainment concierge on board.

First Mate Anne’s strong personal values keep her focused on training and improving her seamanship and opportunities to take clients on once-in-a lifetime trips.
