Caribbean: St. Vincent & The Grenadines - 10 Days
Exclusive and mostly untouched, the tropical waters of this part of the Caribbean are a “dream come true” destination. St. Vincent and the Grenadines is a southern Caribbean nation making up a main island, St. Vincent, and a chain of smaller islands. The 32 islands and cays that make up St Vincent and the Grenadines offer unbeatable landscapes, an unspoiled, authentic Caribbean experience, palm-studded shorelines, volcanic landscapes, and some of the clearest, blue water you’ll ever see.
Spend one night in St. Vincent after a long travel day. Relax at your resort on this lush tropical island. Take a small boat across to Young Island for a lovely dinner. If you have time, walk the botanical gardens or tour Fort Charlotte, on a ridge 600 feet above the sea, giving a magnificent view across Kingstown and the Grenadines. Construction of the fort began in 1763 when the British recovered St. Vincent. It was finally completed and named in 1806.
On a clear day you can see all the way down to Petite Martinique. Spectacular surroundings – white sand beach, sparkling blue water and a wonderful ambience. Basils Bar is one of the Caribbean’s most famous beach bars and is a must stop. If you are there on a Wednesday, you will be treated to live music. Just north of Basil’s is a little fishing village where you can pick up fresh fish directly from the anglers. Macaroni beach on the east coast is a top-rated beach with half a mile of fine white sand, with turquoise waves rolling in from the Atlantic, safe swimming, and a picnic area under the palms. Sunset, happy hour and dinner at the Cotton House don’t disappoint. This resort is housed in an 18th-century stone warehouse with English cottages & landscaped gardens. It sits along L'Ansecoy Bay.

Later, savor a delicious evening meal and make a fire on the beach.
The tall mountains of Union Island are visible 40 miles away on a clear day. At a size of only 3.5 square miles, a population of less than 3,000 lies the picture-perfect, uniquely authentic. It's also refreshingly free of mass tourism. You can do your shopping directly from your vessel as the various amenities of fresh fish, lobster, ice, laundry, tee shirts and homemade jewelry will stop by if you are welcoming. It’s a premiere destination for those in search of aquamarine waters, white sand beaches, and rich flora and fauna. Relaxed, yet refined, the BVI is nothing short of a posh paradise.
On Tortola, you'll find mountainous cliffs and chalk white beaches, characterized by changing tides and calm easterly winds. The British Virgin Islands’ main island is Tortola, home to most of the islands' citizens. The BVI's capital city, Road Town, is located on Tortola's south-central coast and is the center of the islands' government and commercial facilities.
The quiet island of Virgin Gorda is home to some of the Virgin Islands' most gorgeous beaches. Leverick Bay is an excellent location for a spending an afternoon, or all day! Virgin Gorda's most popular tourist attraction is The Baths, a collection of huge granite boulders on the island's south coast.
The area also has a pleasant beach and scenic grottoes that draw large crowds. The island is also a popular spot for hiking, especially on Virgin Gorda Peak and in Copper Mine National Park.
For supreme seclusion, slow pace, flat terrain and sparkling sand this lovely island almost gets overlooked in Caribbean Sea. Leave the water to try one of the island's painkiller cocktails, and don't fret; you can stay in your beach gear to hit up any one of the local watering holes. Beautiful Anegada is a Caribbean vacationer's dream: more than 300 wrecks to dive to and explore, matched by silvery sand beaches and flocks (seriously, flocks) of flamingos. Anegada is also known as the "Drowned Island"
Scrub Island is fringed by three beaches that shelve into the Caribbean Sea. It features protected coves, nature trails and scenery. The island is virtually vehicle-free with resort shuttles serving as the primary form of transportation. The mountainous island’s highest eastern peak reaches a whopping 438 feet and the highest western peak reaches 313 feet! Both offer great hiking trails and endless views of the Caribbean Sea and neighboring islands.
Cooper Island is one of the BVI's little gems. It has a protected anchorage, a white sand beach, a resort and restaurant, a superb snorkeling location with wreck diving nearby and an interesting shoreline for kayaking and exploring.
A true British Virgin Islands vacation destination with five powder white sand beaches to relax and enjoy life at.
Norman Island, where the snorkeling is divine and a pirate ship bar and restaurant floats in the middle of the bay is a lovely and fun place! Snorkel near “the caves” and enjoy the beautiful colors and interesting fish.

Lake Powell Wahweap Marina, AZ State USA
Arrive to Page, AZ either stay in a local hotel or on board for early next day departure.
Choose to depart or stay on board after spending the day getting supplies and loading up. If weather allows, we recommend cruising out of the marina into Padre Bay which is the largest expense of open water on the lake. Leave early and enjoy a leisurely cruise where it may appear from time to time that your houseboat is going straight for a canyon, only to find a narrow turn filled with surprise shapes and even characters in the rock formations you pass by.
Find your perfect sandy beach in Padre Bay after you go through a narrow slot in the middle of the ridge that houses Gunsight Butte, where you can also see Cookie Jar Rock rising from the sandstone mounds on the west shore.
Cruise through Padre Bay and during the journey to your beach for the night at Oak Canyon, take the waterway toward Dangling Rope Marina for a mid-way stop. Nestled next to the canyon walls, this is a great place to refuel. This is a great place to refresh yourself and with delicious soft serve ice cream and some shopping. This marina is so unique that it’s not accessible by land and is solar powered only.
Take the dingy and explore Secret Canyon, slowly creep back into a narrow slot canyon, and experience the beauty and tranquility. Fishing is good here with plenty of smallmouth, largemouth and striped bass.
Today we move through the waterways to Forbidding Canyon and as we cruise along, you feel like the captain is purposely heading directly to hit a canyon wall, you are sure it’s a dead end coming up, then, suddenly there is an opening and you motor on and on to find the perfect beach for the night. Enjoy a lovely campfire while sitting under the most stars you may have ever seen in your life.
Take your dingy out to find the water entrance to Rainbow Bridge where we will dock and take a short hike to see this wonder, the world’s largest natural bridge which for centuries has been regarded as sacred by the Navajo Indians who consider personified rainbows as the guardians of the universe. Deep into the canyon walls, you can enjoy the peace and beauty here and experience for yourself taking pictures with one of the most photographed natural formations in the west.
As we meander upriver just before we reach where the San Juan river joins into the Colorado River, we will arrive at Anasazi Canyon. Find a great beach for anchoring for the night. Also, you may want to take a sunset cruise to enjoy this long, spooky gorge with amazing blotches of colorful desert varnish splashed along various places of the incredible rock formations.
Later, take the dingy to Hole in the Rock, the place where the Mormon San Juan missionaries created a route across the Colorado River in 1879. They spent 45 days blasting the rock to gain passage down a mile-long grade that descends 1,064 feet.
Once you’ve secured your campsite at West Canyon, daylight permitting, you can tour Rock Creek Bay by powerboat. Catching Bass Stripers is almost a guarantee. For those interested in hiking, there is a couple hour round trip where in the spring you may find a picturesque waterfall where you can cool off. The canyon walls are narrow and offer breathtaking views all around.
Enjoy your last day on board while your watercraft gently winds all the way back through the canyons. Take a complete go-around of Gregory Butte, which at a certain angle looks like a camel. Relish your last drive past Padre Butte, one of the taller, thin canyons on the lake.
You may want to make one stop at Antelope Canyon and enjoy lunch at the lovely Marina before your final stop back at Wahweap Marina at the end of this trip.
